(under subclass 17.05) Subject matter wherein the box, housing or envelope is provided with an evacuating stem formed of conductive material which is also used as a lead-in conductor for conducting electrical energy to the device within the box, housing or envelope.
(1) Note. This subclass does not include boxes, housings or envelopes where a solid lead-in conductor merely passes through a nonconductor (e.g., glass) evacuating stem.
