Classification: 164/55.1

Incorporating addition or chemically reactive agent to metal casting material:

(under subclass 47) Process wherein a material is directly added to a melt system to (a) either become incorporated therein physically, e.g., alloying, or (b) cause a chemical reaction to affect the metallic system.

(1) Note. The added material may include principal alloying constituent, densifiers, fluidizers, chemical graphitizers scavengers, grain-size controller, etc.
