DEFINITION

Classification: 164/12

(under subclass 6) Process directed to fixing or hardening a formed shaping surface by (1) igniting and burning the mold surface prior to pouring the casting or (2) by forcibly directing an inert gaseous medium against the shaping surface.

(1) Note. The gaseous hardening agent to be included herein cannot chemically react with the mold materials.

(2) Note. The gaseous hardening agent must be under a positive pressure application to be included herein.
