DEFINITION

Deep channel rim:

(under subclass 379.3) Apparatus comprising a rim for mounting resilient tires provided with radially, outwardly extending flanges at its edges of greater diameter than the tire beads, and a depression extending radially inwardly for a distance such that a portion of the bead of the tire may be dropped into the depression for enough to allow a diametrically opposite portion of the bead to pass over the rim flange to operative position.
