(under subclass 435) Implement wherein a surface portion of the penholder, or means connectible to the penholder, is specifically configured or constructed for contact by a hand or finger of the user during the writing operation.

(1) Note. The mere recitation of a "handle", or of a penholder shaped in the form of an ordinary rod-like member or composed of a particular material, will not justify placement of a patent in this subclass.
