DEFINITION

Making slatted wire fabric in which the slats are secured to the strands by the coiling or winding of one strand about the other, one only of the runner strands being bent or coiled, the other remaining substantially straight, or a smaller so-called "binding" or continuous tie-wire may be used and coiled about the strand between the slats, thus securing the latter in place.
