DEFINITION

Classification: 12/16.3

(under subclass 16.2) Machines provided with means for laying the flap on the heel breast and for applying pressure to the bottom (tread) surface of the heel to press the heel on the heel seat of the shoe.

(1) Note. The heel clamping pressure may be employed in the adhesive attaching of the heel to the heel seat or in the holding of the heel for the application of a fastener to secure the heel to the shoe.
