Eyes, loops, grommets, etc., or their metal equivalents worked in or secured to the sides or leaches of sails at the bolt- ropes, the eye or loop adapted to receive the hook of a tackle or equivalent or to sail-fastening devices secured to jibs and stay-sails or fore-and-aft sails and having a plurality of loops, one for the stay, another for the bolt-rope of sails, and which are usually in the same plane and adapted to secure the free running of the sail on its stay or support.
