Devices by which the hoops or sail-fasteners are made to travel up and down on masts and longitudinally on yards or spars when the sails are being set or furled, etc., the sail-fastening device having an element movable in a guide, slot, or iron attached to or structurally a part of the mast or spar. This subclass includes all travelers attached to spars or which are not secured to the rail or deck.
