(under subclass 162.1) Compositions which contain (A) a cellulose ether or salt thereof in addition to (B) the

carbohydrate or derivative whereby the carbohydrate or derivative can not be a cellulose ether or salt of the same etherifying radical as in (A) differing only in the degree of etherification.

(1) Note. Cellulose ether is a cellulose derivative having a general formula ROR4, wherein RO- is the cellulose residue moiety and R4 is an ether forming radical.

(2) Note. Cellulose ether is made by etherifying the hydroxyl groups of cellulose.
