(under subclass 155) Apparatus in which at least one of the bodies the rotary surface of which acts to press upon the material is supported on the side of the body opposite that on which such pressing surface contacts the work by an auxiliary rotary body located at a place where the support is in opposition to the material passing the pressing body.
(1) Note. This apparatus includes presses in which the pressing rolls are in the form of an annulus and the backup roll is within the opening of the annulus.
